Seeking Licensed or Pre-Licensed Therapist/Counselor

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.

  • Current licensure as a Counselor, Therapist, Social Worker in the state of GA.

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a mental health setting.

  • Strong knowledge of theoretical frameworks and therapeutic techniques relevant to counseling and therapy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.

  • Awareness of cultural competency and intentional efforts of maintaining cultural humility

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' presenting concerns and relational dynamics.

  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to clients' goals and preferences.

  • Facilitate therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems theory, and solution-focused therapy.

  • Collaborate with clients to explore and address underlying issues contributing to relationship difficulties.

  • Provide psychoeducation to clients on topics related to communication skills, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in the field of marriage and family therapy.
